Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2025-12-14

MobileGit (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides a community-based trust-checking service for mobile numbers in the Philippines. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

  • Search activity: the numbers searched and timestamps (for product improvement and abuse prevention).
  • Reports & feedback: category selected, comments you submit, and timestamps.
  • User identifiers: your mobile number if you register and/or submit reports.
  • Technical data: IP address, device/browser info (basic logs) for security and rate limiting.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide search and reporting functionality.
  • Compute aggregated signals (e.g., report counts, summaries).
  • Prevent abuse, spam, and manipulation.
  • Maintain service security, reliability, and auditing.

3. What We Do NOT Do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not claim government verification or official blacklisting authority.
  • We do not guarantee accuracy—MobileGit provides community-based signals only.

4. Data Sharing

We may share aggregated and non-identifying insights (e.g., totals/summary stats). We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the service from fraud/abuse.

5. Data Retention

We retain logs and reports for as long as necessary to operate the service, improve accuracy, and prevent abuse, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

6. Your Choices

  • You can choose not to register. Registration is required only for submitting reports.
  • You may request deletion of your account-related data, subject to legal and abuse-prevention requirements.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data. No system is 100% secure.

This policy is intended to support compliance with applicable Philippine data protection principles.
